I've put submission #220 in the #1 spot, not because it is ALL the things I am looking for, but because it has elements that are exciting to me. I am still hoping for a symbol or a stylized human form that is in motion, rather than meditation. The "human butterfly" is the closest so far to embodying this idea. LuvEnergetix is about moving energy through one's being. So while the meditative posture sitting in a flame or a heart kind of works, it's not quite it. Thank you so much for all your work!

Hello Designers!

Thank you for your amazing submissions! Thank you for making my job of choosing so hard! As 2 days remain, here are some things to know:

1) COLOR: I'm highly favoring designs with a gold/rose/purple palette. Look at the current shortlist to see several designs with these colors.

2) FONT: The winner will understand my entire post on fonts. Note that you cannot directly use any of the fonts I linked, as they are all premium fonts. Your choices are to find a royalty-free font, create your own, or at least make sufficient changes to the font to make it unique. If you do not do this, the highest rank you can have at the end is second, and this is if I decide I am willing to pay for more than one logo design. I've uploaded two handwriting samples you can use as a basis to creating a unique font. In fact, if any of you are skilled in font creation, message me, as I could be willing to pay for my own font. I want to avoid any font that requires continued royalties.

3) DESIGN: I'm still looking for original concepts utilizing the info I posted. And please, if you can share designs that do NOT have a meditating figure in the middle, I am very open to seeing them. I'm obviously okay with the meditating human--just still hoping for more variety of concept.

DESIGN:

So far I've posted about font and color. And I honestly wouldn't be able to write these if it weren't for all the amazing submissions that are helping me get more clear about what elements work for my sensibilities and what elements do not. Many are awesome but not in alignment with this specific brand. Others are awesome and also catch a strong sense of what LuvEnergetix is about. Those that are ranked are designs I would be happy with if the contest ended today, and we still have 5 more days for you to participate and show me new ideas.

If you desire to make more submissions, I love seeing your creativity--especially when it is both original work and incorporating the information in both my page comments and, where applicable, in the private notes I have posted to individual designer pages.

At this stage it is very tempting to copy other designers, so I want to suggest some new ideas that have not yet been tried so that you can unleash your unique creativity more fully on this project.

1. Using a human form is great, but so far, every human form has been in the classic meditation posture. Why not try a standing or dancing human?
2. Also, I prefer, if you use one human form, be as androgynous as possible. I do not want to be able to have certainty over whether the human is a man or woman. OR go ahead and use a feminine form as this work appeals more to women than to men. Just please avoid any forms that are clearly masculine.
3. Using a symbol is great, and this is a bit harder to suggest what to do, as my hope is that you create a new symbol. Elements I love in symbols would be the 8 directions similar to a compass and the gold-on-blue logo I uploaded in the examples. It is the same one that is on the manipura chakra with added heart and symbol design I uploaded. That is more complex than what I want, but I love the colors and that it might inspire something new.
4. If you do a symbol, thoughts about how human energy works are great. This is why the hearts in infinity is such a sweet idea. Several of my uploaded samples and some of your submissions capture this concept well.
5. The way I work with energy also incorporates the energy of the earth/Gaia and the heavens/stars/Universe. It is about connecting with the energies of your own heart, with the energy of Gaia, and with the energy of the Universe.
6. You can meditate on chi/ki, life force energy, the energy field of the human body and/or of human-to-human connection.

Some designs are beautiful but do not work for what I want, so here are some things to avoid:
1. Single-line drawings. I want a more grounded, embodied look.
2. Too many sharp angles. If your design has some points, that can be okay. But I am not looking for something boxy.
3. Too busy. I want a clean design. While I will choose a colorful logo, it should still be something that can be translated to grayscale or even better to black-and-white and still be recognizable. So either a logo that can be directly translated to black-and-white OR two versions with slight modifications so that the black-and-white version can still pop. Please don't upload any bw versions until I ask for them--just be aware that I will want to be able to make a bw version of the final.

And, of course, read ALL my comments fully before going to work as you are much more likely to hit the sweet spot!

I would like to see more use of gradient designs between 2-3 colors rather than the full rainbow. I would also like some reduced saturation options. FONTS: Let's talk Fonts!

For this logo, I am looking for something that flows, most likely a script font. I also want the bottom of the V to look like a V and not a U. So this eliminates MANY font choices. A script font with a point on the bottom of the letter V. And flowing, not jangly.

Thank you for the beautiful submissions! While I love the rainbow effect, for new submissions I hope some of you will try other colorful approaches as well. I would also love to see a bit more sparkle, especially in the words. Also, I am hoping for some sort of creative Word Art or even a Wordmark. Ideal is a unique symbol and a unique font and possibly some combination of the two. Again, the tagline does not need to be included. I'm more focused on a symbol and word art that flow well together in color and style. Again, much gratitude for the beautiful work! <3

Good morning! Thank you to the first 3 designers who have plunged into our project!
As promised, here is my feedback based on submissions #1-7.
Seeing these, I recognize I am looking for more softness, more color, more vibrancy, more motion, and more heart.
I like that #4 shows motion.
In #2 I like the glowing heart, as well as the flower-like symbol around it.
For the name, LuvEnergetix, I am hoping for a softer flowing font.
And no need to add the tagline at all. I don't associate taglines with logos, and they are easy enough to add later, if desired.
